Job Description
Role: Principal Consultant (Services Procurement)
Location: Northampton
Working Model: Hybrid – 3 days in the office, 2 days working from home
Contract: Full Time – Permanent
We’re looking for a Principal Consultant to join our growing Consultancy+ team, supporting organisations through our Services Procurement offering. This is an opportunity to build a career in a consultative, relationship-led environment where you’ll work closely with clients to deliver tailored solutions across professional services and consultancy spend.
What is Services Procurement?
In simple terms, we provide an end-to-end outsourced procurement solution that helps organisations manage their consultancy and professional services spend more effectively - reducing risk, improving value, and lowering costs. Demand for this service has grown significantly across the UK in recent years, giving us a strong opportunity to build long-term client relationships as this market continues to expand.
While you’ll focus on engaging clients and developing opportunities, our specialist delivery team manages the operational side, including contract management, supplier management, compliance, and ongoing service delivery.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
