We are recruiting for a Cyber Security Consultant to join our industry-leading Cyber Security Capability Team, specialising in Operational Technology (OT) Cybersecurity.
About the Role
You will access a range of benefits including targeted professional development and the opportunity to work alongside specialists across our business. Your responsibilities will include:
- Contributing to cyber security and strategy advice, technical assurance, solution guidance, specification input, design support, and testing assurance for domestic and international clients
- Working on projects across the lifecycle of OT/IT development and Digital Transformation
- Providing risk-based recommendations and translating cyber security strategy into practical delivery
Key Responsibilities
You will be involved in the following core activities:
- Supporting clients on cyber security compliance, including:
- NIS-D, NIST, ISO 27001, ISA/IEC 62443, and other industry standards/best practices
- Contributing to governance frameworks and Cyber Security & Information Security Management Systems (ISMS)
- Assessing cyber security controls, reviewing architecture proposals, and supporting threat and risk assessments
- Supporting cyber security requirements analysis and tailoring outputs to client context
- Understanding business and technical requirements and translating them into clear, actionable deliverables, with support from senior colleagues
- Collaborating with clients, government agencies, partners, and supply chains to resolve complex security challenges
- Supporting client presentations and proposals by explaining cyber security services and addressing digital resilience challenges

Requirements & Qualifications
We will be looking for you to demonstrate:

Specialist knowledge in OT, IT, and IoT/IIoT cyber security with industry-specific experience
- Preferred sectors: Energy (Nuclear, Oil/Gas, Electricity), Rail/Road, Healthcare, Smart Infrastructure, Aviation, or Maritime

A degree in engineering, computer science, or an equivalent technical discipline, or relevant experience

Chartership (or plans to obtain) in Engineering or Cyber Security, or equivalent professional registration

Practical experience working with:
- Telecoms, SCADA, mission-critical, safety-critical, or big data architectures
- Threat modelling, vulnerability analysis, risk matrix analysis
- Secure DevOps and secure systems engineering lifecycle
- Security policy and governance
- Cloud Security (including OT in the Cloud)
- Incident Management (SOC operations, digital forensics, crisis management)
- Cyber security platforms and tooling (e.g., IDS/IPS, SIEM, EDR/MDR, system hardening)

Relevant professional experience in:
- An OT/IT or electronics/systems company, including experience in leading teams, collaborating with clients/partners, and applying formal security frameworks (e.g., ISA/IEC 62443, NCSC’s Cyber Assessment Framework)
- Supporting OT risks and security in systems/software development using Agile, ITIL, or V-model processes
- Risk assessment methodologies for system/software design
- Contributing to technical reports, advising clients, and shaping OT security solutions
