Principal Consultant – Technology Strategy & Transformation
📍 London (Hybrid Working)
My client is an established and fast-growing boutique consultancy and is looking to appoint a Principal Consultant to support clients in unlocking tangible, lasting value from their technology investments. This is a rare opportunity to join a high-calibre firm that combines strategic advisory with hands-on delivery, working directly with senior stakeholders on complex, high-impact programmes across both public and private sectors.
The Opportunity
As a Principal Consultant, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and delivering client engagements, operating across the full lifecycle—from early-stage strategy and business case development through to mobilisation, delivery, and benefits realisation.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading technology strategy and transformation programmes
- Advising C-suite and senior stakeholders on technology direction and investment decisions
- Mobilising and delivering complex initiatives across areas such as cloud, infrastructure, data, and digital transformation
- Providing independent assurance to ensure programmes remain on track and deliver intended outcomes
- Navigating legacy environments to drive optimisation, consolidation, and innovation

Your Background
You will bring a strong blend of consulting experience, technical understanding, and commercial awareness, alongside a passion for delivering meaningful outcomes. We are interested in individuals who have a strong track record in management or technology consulting.
Desired Skills and Knowledge:
- Strong understanding of enterprise IT ecosystems, including some of the following:
- Cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)
- Corporate networks and end-user environments
- Data centre technologies (compute, storage, virtualisation)
- Data, analytics, and emerging technologies
- Enterprise applications

Required Experience:
- Delivery of complex programmes end-to-end, from business case through to implementation and benefits realisation
- Confidence engaging senior stakeholders and operating in ambiguous, high-pressure environments
- Experience leading multiple client engagements simultaneously
- Exposure to commercial activities such as bids, proposals, or client growth
