My client is looking for an experienced Principal Recruitment Consultant to join their market-leading Private Equity Finance practice.

This is an opportunity to take ownership of an established, high-performing desk focused on partnering with private equity funds and their portfolio companies across the UK and Europe. Working on retained and contingent mandates, you'll recruit senior finance professionals into CFO, Finance Director, and leadership positions, becoming a trusted advisor to investors and executive teams alike.

The business has built an outstanding reputation within the private equity market, offering consultants access to premium clients, an entrepreneurial culture, and genuine opportunities for progression.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead senior-level searches across the Private Equity Finance market.
  • Build and develop relationships with private equity funds, portfolio companies, and finance leaders.
  • Deliver retained and contingent assignments across CFO, Finance Director, VP Finance, Financial Controller, and other senior finance appointments.
  • Identify new business opportunities and convert them into long-term client partnerships.
  • Manage the full recruitment lifecycle from business development through to offer management.
  • Mentor junior consultants and contribute to the continued growth of the team.
  • Develop deep market knowledge and establish yourself as a recognized specialist within the PE finance landscape.

About You

  • A proven track record within recruitment, ideally specializing in Finance, Executive Search, or Private Equity.
  • Strong business development and relationship management skills.
  • Experience managing senior or executive-level recruitment processes.
  • Commercially minded, ambitious, and highly consultative.
  • Passionate about delivering exceptional client and candidate experiences.
