At Jacobs, we're challenging today to reinvent tomorrow by solving the world's most critical problems for thriving cities, resilient environments, mission-critical outcomes, operational advancement, scientific discovery and cutting-edge manufacturing, turning abstract ideas into realities that transform the world for good.

Your impact

Join our growing Cyber Security team delivering high-impact work across large-scale critical national infrastructure projects. In this role, you’ll help organisations protect essential services by shaping secure, resilient IT environments that underpin sectors such as energy, water, environment, transport, and defence.

You’ll act as a senior cyber voice within complex programmes - building trust with clients, influencing key decisions, and ensuring security is embedded in a pragmatic, risk-based way. Your work will directly contribute to safer, more resilient infrastructure and long-term client success.

What You’ll Do

You’ll lead cyber security activities across client engagements, combining hands-on delivery with strategic advisory. Acting as a trusted partner to clients, you’ll guide the design and implementation of secure solutions while ensuring alignment with business needs and regulatory expectations.

You’ll play a visible role in client engagement, including pre-sales and helping shape opportunities from a cyber perspective. Internally, you’ll collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, contribute to project leadership, and support the development of others - bringing a proactive, solutions-focused mindset to everything you do.

This is a role for someone who is comfortable operating across governance, engineering, and assurance - able to move between detail and big-picture thinking while inspiring confidence in clients and colleagues alike.

Here's what you'll need

We’re looking for an experienced cyber security professional with a strong foundation in IT security and a track record of delivering in complex environments. You’ll bring credibility, confidence, and a collaborative approach to working with clients and teams.

Proven solid experience in cyber security within IT infrastructure or complex enterprise environments Strong technical understanding across infrastructure, networks, cloud, and security domains Experience leading or contributing to client engagements, including pre-sales or shaping solutions Ability to balance hands-on delivery with governance, assurance, and stakeholder engagement Excellent communication skills, with the ability to build trust and influence at all levels Experience mentoring or leading others within project environments

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
