Principal Data Architect (AWS / Snowflake) | London | Hybrid Working | £1XX,000 (doe)
iO Associates are hiring a Principal Data Architect to lead the design and delivery of an enterprise cloud data platform, with a strong focus on AWS and Snowflake. You'll shape data strategy and standards, modernise legacy platforms, and drive scalable, governed data solutions across the business.
Key Responsibilities
- Define scalable enterprise data architecture (ingestion, transformation, analytics, governance)
- Architect and optimise Snowflake (warehousing, sharing, performance tuning)
- Lead cloud modernisation/migration to AWS and automation of data pipelines
- Establish best practice around modelling, security, compliance, and cost control
- Partner with senior stakeholders and mentor delivery teams

What We’re Looking For
- Senior/Principal-level data architecture experience in enterprise environments
- Strong track record in delivering enterprise data architecture and scalable platforms
- Deep expertise in Snowflake (warehousing, performance optimisation, data sharing)
- Proficiency in AWS and cloud architecture experience
- Confident communicator who can translate business needs into robust technical designs
