We are growing fast, and we’re now looking for a Principal Data Architect to join our high‑performing consulting practice.
The Opportunity
As a Principal Data Architect, you will sit at the intersection of strategy, engineering, and enterprise‑level transformation. You will shape data architecture vision and standards across major programmes, acting as the trusted adviser to C‑Suite and senior technology leaders.
This is a senior, hands‑on leadership role where you will:
- Define modern data architecture frameworks
- Drive cloud‑native data platform design
- Guide organisations through complex change across integration, automation, data quality, governance, and advanced analytics
What You’ll Do
Consulting & Strategy
- Act as a strategic adviser to executive stakeholders, shaping enterprise‑wide data strategies
- Lead high‑impact transformation engagements focused on data modernisation, migration, cloud adoption, and platform enablement
- Define industry defining architectures, best‑practice frameworks, and roadmaps for complex digital change
- Represent DigX externally through thought leadership, client engagements, and industry events

Technical Leadership
- Own data solutions architecture direction for multi‑stream programmes and complex ecosystems
- Establish practice‑level standards across data modelling, governance, pipelines, lineage, MDM, metadata, and cloud‑native design
- Provide technical assurance, risk management, and strategic oversight across delivery teams
- Support pre‑sales, solution shaping, and long‑term account strategy
People & Capability
- Coach and mentor Senior Consultants across the data and engineering disciplines
- Develop long‑term data capability strategy and lead communities of practice
- Identify emerging trends, future skills, and opportunities for internal IP and accelerators

What You’ll Bring
- Senior delivery leadership experience on data programmes, ideally within regulated financial services, with credibility at a Principal level
- Proven ability to run high‑impact Blueprinting or discovery engagements alongside major systems integrators
- Demonstrable ability to challenge vendors on scope, design, and commercials
- Strong programme and delivery management discipline, including authoring credible, costed delivery plans (beneficial)
- Conversational depth across modern data platform patterns (data warehouse, data lake, digital hub), with confidence to challenge architectural decisions without needing to author them
- Direct experience integrating operational and legacy systems into modern cloud data platforms, including historical data migration
- Experience operating in a Business Integrator or client‑side delivery role
- Strong stakeholder management and written communication skills, from executive‑level proposals to hands‑on working sessions
