Key Responsibilities

Data Center Design & Implementation - Cabling Infrastructure

  • Implements structured cabling solutions for new data center builds and expansions.
  • Deploys physical plant cabling systems.
  • May contribute to the development of global data center cabling and infrastructure standards.
  • Troubleshoots moderately complex cabling infrastructure connectivity issues, including patch panels and patch cords.

Data Center Design & Implementation - Implementation & Continuous Improvement

  • Coordinates infrastructure implementation efforts for Oracle data centers.
  • Develops sustainable and repeatable solutions to support the continuous improvement of data centers.

Project Management - Project Planning

  • Aligns the team on the scope of project work, reviewing the Bill of Materials and resources available, reviews the project roadmap to align with the scope and business needs.
  • Prioritizes customer experience in project planning and delivery.

Project Management - Reporting & Documentation

  • Collaborates with Program Management teams to ensure project deliverables are completed on time.
  • Attends vendor business reviews to report on the team's project updates and document vendor progress and roadblocks.
  • Creates and maintains documentation on cabling and build standards for data center infrastructure.

Vendor Management

  • Collaborates with vendors to deliver the build-out of data center infrastructure.
  • Participates in the vendor bidding and selection process.

  • Manages and coordinates moderately complex tasks, monitoring timelines and deliverables to ensure timely completion and adherence to requirements for a moderately-sized project or initiative.
  • Efficiently delegates, monitors, and prioritizes work across multiple projects, providing technical oversight and adjusting plans to address shifts in resources or timelines.

Continuous Improvement

  • Develops ideas, recommends updates, and/or collaborates on the implementation of process improvements to increase the efficiency and effectiveness of processes, protocols, and workflows across teams, and evaluates the impact on key stakeholders.
  • Solicits feedback from others on ideas for alternative approaches and methods for continued improvement.

Performance and Development

  • Contributes to the talent development pipeline by participating in candidate interviews, assessing candidates, and providing hiring recommendations.

Qualifications

  • 5–10 years of experience in data center infrastructure deployment, preferably within hyperscale, cloud, colocation, or mission-critical environments.
  • Proven experience supporting new data center builds, expansions, or large-scale infrastructure deployment programs.
  • Strong understanding of structured cabling infrastructure, including fiber, copper, patch panels, patch cords, labeling, routing, and physical connectivity.
  • Solid networking fundamentals, with the ability to understand how physical cabling infrastructure supports network availability and data center operations.
  • Experience coordinating infrastructure implementation activities across vendors, contractors, project teams, and internal stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated project management skills, including planning, tracking deliverables, reviewing Bills of Materials, managing timelines, and escalating risks or blockers.
