Principal Data Engineer
Role Overview
Data Science and clinical intelligence are revolutionising healthcare, offering opportunities for continuous clinical improvement as well as more personalised care. In this senior role, you will lead on the delivery and continued improvement of MFT’s data management platform and services.
We’ll look to your expertise in developing and expanding our data platforms, with a particular focus on our Trust data warehouse (Epic Caboodle). You will also lead on the specification and development of dataflows, models, automation, and reports, ensuring we deliver a first-class service to the Trust.
This is an exciting opportunity for the right candidate to gain experience in one of the largest Trusts in Europe with Epic EPR.
Responsibilities
- Lead on the delivery and continued improvement of MFT’s data management platform and services.
- Develop and expand data platforms with a focus on the Trust data warehouse (Epic Caboodle).
- Lead on the specification and development of dataflows, models, automation, and reports.
- Ensure the delivery of a first-class service to the Trust.
Requirements
- Extensive experience of developing and pipelining within Epic Caboodle.
- Epic Caboodle and Clarity Certifications are expected.
- Technical and analytical skills.
- Experience in leading the development, maintenance, and continued improvement of data management platforms and services.

Working Conditions
- On-site working (Trafford House, Wythenshawe) will be required in some form.
- If shortlisted, you can expect to hear from us within 5 working days of the advert closing.
- Interviews will be conducted on-site at Trafford House, Wythenshawe.
- The recruitment process may include a timed cognitive assessment.
- This is a 20-month fixed-term role.
