Principal Dayforce Consultant
Principal Dayforce Consultant – Join Our Growing Team at Silver Cloud
We’re looking for an experienced Principal Dayforce Consultant to join our growing team at Silver Cloud. This is a senior, client-facing consulting role within our Dayforce Practice, focused on the design, configuration, and delivery of Dayforce solutions across a range of client implementations.
As a Principal Consultant, you’ll act as a trusted advisor to clients, lead delivery within your specialism, and help shape the continued growth of the practice. We’re open across Dayforce specialisms, including but not limited to:
- Talent (especially recruiting, onboarding, performance, succession, and learning)
- Payroll
- Workforce Management
- Advanced Scheduling
This role is ideal for someone with strong hands-on Dayforce experience, a passion for variety, technical ownership, and a collaborative approach to driving high-quality solutions in a dynamic consultancy environment.
About the Role
- Lead the design, configuration, and delivery of Dayforce solutions across client implementations.
- Act as the subject matter expert (SME) in your module area, guiding clients through best-practice configuration and solution design.
- Own delivery across the full implementation lifecycle (discovery – configuration – testing – go-live – hypercare).
- Troubleshoot complex technical issues, acting as the go-to expert in your field.
- Facilitate client workshops and requirement-gathering sessions, translating business needs into scalable Dayforce solutions.
- Ensure quality and accuracy in parallel testing, UAT (User Acceptance Testing), and go-live readiness.
- Advise clients on cross-module impacts and integrated workflows within Dayforce.
- Serve as a trusted advisor and escalation point for clients, building long-term relationships.
- Mentor junior consultants as the practice scales.
- Drive practice growth through presales support, solution scoping, and knowledge-sharing.
- Help shape best practices, delivery standards, and scalable approaches as the team expands.
- Stay **current with Dayforce product developments and pioneer relevant insights in client work.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Key Responsibilities
- Configure and optimise Dayforce modules (Talent, Payroll, Benefits, Workforce Management, Advanced Scheduling).
- Deliver end-to-end implementations (not just hands-on administration or support).
- Translate client requirements into well-structured, scalable Dayforce configurations.
- Problem-solve complex issues with total ownership through resolution.
- Maintain a macro-level understanding of Dayforce interdependencies to anticipate downstream impacts.
- Support testing, go-live, and post-go-live phases, including hypercare support.
- Manage multiple clients or workstreams concurrently.
- Communicate technical intricacies clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
- Adopt a collaborative, low-ego mindset and drive knowledge-sharing.
- Stay curious and proactive in expanding expertise.
- Work in a growing practice rather than a fixed-house corporate structure.
Requirements
We welcome applications from consultants with backgrounds including:
- Principal or Senior Dayforce consultancy roles
- Vendor-side professional services or implementation experience
- Senior in-house Dayforce specialists with execution ownership
- Technical consultants with deep module expertise seeking consultancy-style work
- Dayforce consultants with Talent specialisation (especially recruiting, onboarding, performance, succession, or learning)
Candidates should ideally have:
- Strong experience in one or more Dayforce modules (e.g., Talent, Payroll, Benefits, Workforce Management, Advanced Scheduling).
- Successfully delivered full-cycle implementations (not just day-to-day support).
- Dayforce certification in your area of specialisation (or equivalent hands-on delivery experience).
- Technical strength to translate needs into high-performing Dayforce configurations.
- Problem-solving ability with a "Where ‘Why’ Matters" mindset.
- An understanding of module interactions in Dayforce and their impacts.
- Proven experience in testing, go-live, and hypercare support.
- Client leadership experience, including managing concurrent projects or engagements.
- Great communication skills—bridging gaps between technical and business teams.
- A collaborative personality with a த்த gives and take attitude.
- Curiosity-driven attitude toward Dayforce updates and new features.
- Appetite to grow the practice rather than simply conforming to existing processes.
