About the Role
We’re looking for an experienced Principal Dayforce Consultant to join our growing team at Silver Cloud.
This is a senior, client-facing consulting role within our Dayforce Practice, focused on the design, configuration, and delivery of Dayforce solutions across a range of client implementations. As a Principal Consultant, you’ll act as a trusted advisor to clients, lead delivery within your specialism, and help shape the continued growth of the practice.
We’re open across Dayforce specialisms. Whether your depth sits in Payroll, Workforce Management, Advanced Scheduling, or Talent, we’d love to hear from you. We’re particularly interested in hearing from consultants with strong Talent expertise as we continue to expand that capability within the practice.
This role would suit someone with strong hands-on Dayforce experience who enjoys variety, technical ownership, and working closely with clients to deliver high-quality solutions in a growing consultancy environment.
Responsibilities
- Lead the design, configuration, and delivery of Dayforce solutions across client implementations
- Act as the subject matter expert in your module area, guiding clients through best-practice configuration and solution design
- Own delivery across the full implementation lifecycle, including discovery, configuration, testing, go-live, and hypercare
- Troubleshoot complex issues and act as the technical authority within your specialism
- Run client workshops and requirement-gathering sessions, translating business needs into scalable Dayforce solutions
- Support parallel testing, UAT, and go-live readiness, ensuring accuracy and quality before handover
- Advise clients on cross-module impacts and how Dayforce solutions work together effectively
- Act as a trusted advisor and escalation point for clients, building strong relationships throughout delivery
- Mentor and support more junior consultants as the practice grows
- Contribute to the growth of the practice through presales support, solution scoping, and knowledge sharing
- Help shape internal best practice, delivery standards, and reusable approaches as the team continues to scale
- Keep pace with Dayforce product developments and bring relevant improvements into client work

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
