Principal Delivery Consultant – Permanent, Full-Time
Location: Hybrid (Central Leeds or London HQ) About the Role

We’re excited to bring on an experienced Principal Delivery Consultant to drive our vision forward. In this role, you’ll lead transformative digital solutions, oversee complex technical projects, and partner closely with clients at the C-Suite level.
Responsibilities
As Principal Delivery Consultant, you will:
- Lead digital and technical project execution, representing Burendo as the senior account stakeholder and collaborating with your internal team.
- Set the strategic delivery direction for multi-portfolio programmes, ensuring alignment with client objectives and measurable business outcomes.
- Manage timelines, budgets, and resources, while establishing robust portfolio governance and reporting to provide data-driven insights for senior decision-making.
- Act as a trusted C-Suite advisor, influencing complex decision-making and advising on technical, operational, and organisational change.
- Apply deep expertise in:
- Organisational change and software development lifecycle (SDLC)
- Cloud architectures and modern engineering practices
- Leadership in Agile and hybrid (waterfall) environments
- Drive Agile governance at portfolio level, balancing strategy, flexibility, and responsiveness.
- Align organisational operating models, governance, and ways of working with strategic objectives.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement, evolving delivery practices, tools, and frameworks to enhance efficiency, predictability, and value.
- Define KPIs to monitor portfolio health, inform strategic adjustments, and remove obstacles.
- Promote Agile values (transparency, collaboration, customer focus) and iteratively deliver high-performance results.
- Mentor delivery professionals, building capability, and shaping the future of our practice.

Requirements
Must Have
- Consultancy experience at Principal level, with a proven track record.
- Demonstrated ability to lead large-scale transformations or multi-million-pound engagements.
- Experience managing complex technical portfolios, spanning:
- Healthcare, financial services, or retail industries
- Public and private sector client engagements
- Extensive expertise in Agile and hybrid (waterfall) delivery, portfolio governance, and automation.
- Mentorship track record—showcasing growth of junior delivery teams.
- Female candidates are particularly encouraged to apply.
