Role: Principal DevSecOps Engineer

Location: Remote (once per month in office)
Salary: up to £100,000 fixed salary + bonus

Lawrence Harvey are partnered with a Private-Equity backed, rapidly growing European SaaS company that are revolutionizing the Cloud, ERP and AI industries across the Globe. They are in a seriously exciting phase of growth at the moment and are looking to bolster their DevSecOps capability.

This is a hands-on DevSecOps role focused on bridging Security, Platform Engineering and CloudOps across a multi-product AWS SaaS environment. You will be responsible for automating, deploying and operationalising security controls through IaC, GitOps and CI/CD.

You will be the driving force behind a crucial project for the business, giving you an excellent opportunity to build and optimise processes whilst improving the overall security health and posture of an award-winning, globally recognised business.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement AWS security controls and governance.
  • Deploy and manage security tooling (CrowdStrike, Tenable, Fortinet, Cloudflare, ManageEngine).
  • Drive remediation, patching and operational maturity across the cloud estate.
  • Automate vulnerability management, patching and security operations.
  • Secure Kubernetes, containers and serverless workloads.
  • Build security automation using Terraform, GitLab CI/CD, ArgoCD, Ansible and scripting.
  • Work closely with SRE and Platform teams to embed security into deployments.

Key Requirements:

  • 5+ years in DevSecOps, Cloud Security, Platform Engineering or SRE.
  • Strong AWS security experience and IaC/GitOps experience.
  • Hands-on with Kubernetes, CI/CD, Terraform and security tooling.
  • Proficient in Python, Bash or PowerShell.
  • Experience with vulnerability management and cloud security operations.

Desirable but not essential:

  • Strong understanding of Networking Fundamentals and Zero Trust architecture principles.
  • Experience deploying and managing Crowdstrike.
  • Experience with Fortinet Firewalls.
