Our client is a human-centric, planet-conscious engineering consultancy delivering intelligent and sustainable solutions across the built environment. They support a collaborative culture and invest heavily in professional development—particularly within their Data Centre and Mission Critical team.

We are recruiting for a Principal Electrical Engineer on behalf of our client.

Overview of the role

  • Lead the day-to-day technical delivery of electrical design services for data centre and mission-critical projects
  • Develop initial strategic concepts, ensuring solutions meet the brief and relevant regulatory standards
  • Provide client-facing support: attend meetings, respond to needs, and communicate requirements to the project team
  • Support commercial delivery by helping monitor fee expenditure, resources, and work delivered
  • Mentor and support apprentices, graduates, and “next gen” professionals

Required experience and skills

  • Proven experience as an Electrical Engineer (or closely related), delivering Mission Critical/Data Centre projects
  • Strong technical delivery processes and experience using tools such as Revit, BIM, Electrical OM, Dialux and Relux
  • Demonstrable experience working with clients/contractors/architects in a consultant/design environment
  • A supportive leadership style, with experience helping others grow in knowledge and confidence
