Location: UK Wide – Scotstoun, Filton, New Malden, Portsmouth, hybrid- 2/3 days per week on site- We offer a range of hybrid and flexible working arrangements - please speak to your recruiter about the options for this particular role
Salary: Up to £57,000 depending on skills and experience

Role description:
Providing tactical leadership for the management and delivery for the RCD Engineering Query Management System and all associated engineering processes. Working with the RCD Customer, this will include developing and agreeing detailed applicable cross company engineering processes ensuring customer requirements are met and driving continuous improvement. This role requires a blend of Naval Ship engineering experience, delivery and people management, sitting within the organisation of the Vice President (VP) of Engineering and works closely with design, delivery, Digital, Data and Cyber (DDC), and the Office of the Chief Engineer.
Core Duties:
- Own the engineering customer query management capability, including processes, tools, governance interfaces, reporting and performance measures – providing engineering technical leadership to enable the process performance
- Drive continuous quality improvement initiatives (engaging programme and Naval Ships Quality teams) to improve responsiveness, quality and customer satisfaction
- Service as main technical management point-of-contact and interface stakeholder to the shipyard customer on query management and performance, including contractual financial key performance indicators
- Develop and line manage query management engineering resource and direct reports, fostering a culture of accountability, customer focus, and technical capability – including ownership of people capability and skills matrix

Essential skills:
- Qualified to HND/degree level in a STEM related discipline. Applicants should be a Chartered Engineer or hold another equivalent professional registration with a relevant institution
- Practitioner-level expertise in engineering data management, data quality metrics, process compliance, and process mapping techniques
- Specialist knowledge of cross-company engineering processes and collaboration frameworks
