Principal Engineer – Python, C# & Integration Architecture

London (1 day per week onsite)

A well-established and highly specialised organisation operating within the infrastructure and environmental services sector is seeking an experienced product focused Principal Engineer who is proficient in C# and Python and has the right open engineering mindset to join their team. This role will focus on enhancing and maintaining a suite of critical internal systems that support core business operations. You will be focused on managing the integration layer from the architecture level, design processes and all the technical aspects surrounding this. You will be bridging the gap between their two systems (C# and Python), solving tough technical problems and leaning heavily into AI where possible and appropriate.

The Role

You will be working as a C# / Python principal engineer within a fast-paced, delivery-focused environment, contributing to the ongoing development of a business-critical platform. Initially, you will be looking at how the systems are currently connected, identifying what is working, producing a solution as to how it should work and then implementing the solution in the right way into a live production environment.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
