The Daemon Way

Daemon’s all about helping people use technology to make the world a better place. We love building trusted partnerships with our clients, and helping them embrace the tech that can make their business better. For that we need our people to embrace the Daemon way – doing great work in a great place, with diverse talents, all united by our shared values.

We’re looking for tech heroes with the va-va-voom to help us unite teams behind one vision, empower their potential, and inspire them with our One Team spirit.

The aim is to get everyone to the future faster. By turning teams into the movements that power digital transformation.

What We Do

Our core set of client-centric solutions are designed to smash client’s problems and make tech work harder for them. They include:

  • Digital engineering
  • Cloud adoption, migration and optimisation, including performance engineering
  • Data, ML and AI enablement

We tie this all together with a little thing we call ‘delivery excellence’, backed up with performance engineering, DevOps, and design thinking. And lashings of Daemonite energy, of course…

What To Expect

You’ll be a member of the Daemon Engineering team, pushing to win work on exciting, challenging and rewarding projects with some famous brands. Working hand-in-glove with high-performing teammates, you’ll develop personally and professionally, surrounded by superhero consultants digging deep to deliver together.

What We Need

We’re looking for a Principal Consultant with a strong background in technology, proficient in multiple languages, tools and technologies. You’ll be comfortable leading teams, as well as holding conversations with clients up to and including C-Level.

We need someone who gets a kick out of working in a fast-paced environment, potentially overseeing more than one project, and acting as technical oversight for those projects.

About You

You’re an excellent spoken and written communicator, comfortable working with senior and C-level stakeholders. You lead by example: you’re pragmatic and productive but also creative. You’ve got the beans to motivate teams of all sizes and manage development plans for yourself and others, knowing which areas to focus on to keep things moving.

You actively shape/own a domain community, whether that’s blogging, events or webinars. You have an entrepreneurial mindset that means you look for opportunities wherever you think you can dig them up, and you take pride in leaving everything you touch better than you found it.

Matching Your Values With Ours

Our values affect everything we do – and yours will too. So we’ll need you to have integrity (of course) and be a passionate, approachable pragmatist who’s always looking for ways to shake things up.

Your Responsibilities

You’ll be responsible for a wide range of activities including:

  • Leading people and building high-performing teams that leverage technology to deliver critical business priorities and solve complex problems for our clients
  • Taking ownership of engagement and client relationships
  • Helping clients create solutions to their business challenges leveraging all of our practices
  • Technical and practical input into the Daemon Way — our overall engagement model
  • Shaping engagements from a team, skills, requirements and commercial perspective, working closely with the resourcing function to resource those people.
  • Defining work packages and planning for success
  • Communicating complex technical problems in simple non-technical terms
  • Leading one or more teams to deliver what the client needs
  • Building and managing a network of relationships at relevant levels
  • Taking an active role in identifying opportunities at existing clients, new clients, or within your own network
  • Collaborating with Account Directors, the sales team and other SMEs, through pre-sales, discovery and proof of concept, to win new pieces of work
  • Identifying and generate new client opportunities, moving client dialogue from a discussion of ideas to scoping work
  • Managing stakeholder relationships, supporting Governance, and ensuring we deliver against expectations
  • Supporting teams on challenging engagements and/or with challenging clients — our clients are demanding and we exceed expectations
  • End to end engagement ownership
  • People manager and Mentorship and development of less experienced consultants
  • Proactive solution development for both clients and Daemon — if you see something not working, we expect you to step up
  • Being visible as a leader in Daemon and in the industry
  • Building technical strategies for Daemon and our clients
  • Community leadership, building communities within Daemon and spearheading technical innovation

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
