About The Team
As Principal EMEA Events and Experience Marketing Manager, you’ll be a senior individual contributor shaping how Workday engages across the region. You’ll design and lead a strategic portfolio of events and experiences, from Workday Rising EMEA to regional, executive, and partner events, deepening relationships with customers and prospects while building brand trust and supporting pipeline and revenue goals.
You’ll collaborate closely with the EMEA Marketing, Sales, and Global Experience Marketing teams to transform business objectives into insight-led, measurable cross-functional programs—whether live, digital, or hybrid. There will be no direct team management, but your leadership by influence will be crucial in orchestrating stakeholders, agencies, partners, and more to deliver exceptional, inclusive experiences that align with Workday’s vision.

About The Role
Key Responsibilities
- Own and evolve the regional events and experience strategy for EMEA, aligning with business priorities and target segments.
- Lead inspirational, high-impact programs (e.g., Workday Rising EMEA, partner summits, executive forums, customer councils)—spanning concept creation, content strategy, and execution.
- Develop agrunt Robust project plans, governance models, and manage timelines, budgets, risks, and stakeholder communications, alongside multiple concurrent programs.
- Oversee complex logistics (venue selection, contracts, staffing, registration, sponsorships, speaker management, technical production) through external partners.
- Partner with EMEA Field Marketing, ABM, Product Marketing, Sales, Customer Success, and Partner Alliances to align events with broader go-to-market, account planning, and revenue strategies.
- Define and track clear success metrics, including pipeline impact, revenue attainment, engagement data, NPS/CSAT scores, and attendee feedback, constantly optimizing and scaling best practices across markets.
- Champion innovation and inclusion in experience design, introducing fresh ideas, hybrid formats, and cutting-edge technologies to position Workday as the industry standard.
About You
Basic Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience in B2B event marketing, experience design, or conference production—ideally in a high-growth SaaS or tech industry.
- Proven leadership in executing large-scale, multi-country programs (e.g., conferences, executive summits, prospect-led events), with a record of measurable ROI.
- Experience as a senior individual contributor, acting as a strategic marketing partner to senior leaders.

Other Qualifications
- Strong command of core productivity tools (Microsoft Office, Google Workspace) and familiarity with event platforms and digital experience solutions.
- In-depth knowledge of events logistics, vendor management, budgets, contracts, and contract negotiations, with a focus on quality and cost efficiency.
