About SiTime
SiTime is the Precision Timing company.
Timing is the heartbeat of all electronics, ensuring performance, resilience and scalability. For decades, quartz devices, non-silicon technology, have kept systems in sync, but they struggle in harsher, more demanding environments. MEMS-based Precision Timing delivers greater accuracy, smaller size and resilience. Today, MEMS timing powers over 400 applications, including high-growth ones in AI datacenters, automated driving, industrial and humanoid robots, wearables and IoT.
Our semiconductor MEMS programmable solutions offer a rich feature set that enables customers to differentiate their products with higher performance, smaller size, lower power, and better reliability. With more than 4 billion devices shipped, SiTime is changing the timing industry. Job Summary
The Field Application Engineer (FAE) plays a critical role in driving SiTime’s growth by building pipeline, winning design‑ins, and strengthening SiTime’s technical brand within assigned accounts and priority regional customers.
Working in close partnership with the regional sales team, the FAE engages directly with customer R&D teams to influence system architecture, lead must‑win opportunities, and deliver successful design‑ins that convert into long‑term revenue. The role combines deep technical expertise with strong customer engagement, enabling SiTime to be seen as a trusted system‑level partner, not just a component supplier.
Responsibilities:
- Build the Funnel: Identify and qualify new design opportunities within Assigned Accounts, engaging early in the design cycle ahead of formal sales engagement.
- Map customer system architectures and establish strong technical relationships with key stakeholders before competitors.
- Feed the sales pipeline through direct customer insight, identification of unmet needs, and proactive opportunity creation.
- Plan and deliver technical workshops and training sessions to build SiTime’s brand presence in key vertical markets.
- Win – Drive Design‑Ins: Lead Must‑Win opportunities, owning the technical campaign and coordinating internal resources to close designs.
- Run project kick‑offs on major new programs and deliver EVM and software demonstrations at customer sites.
- Own system‑level selling across the full clock tree, not just individual devices.
- Define and drive the technical strategy for opportunities, ensuring clear differentiation and a compelling win path.
- Build – Expand our influence: Develop high‑quality technical content such as application notes, presentations, and webinars that position SiTime as the timing authority.
- Provide structured customer insight and competitive intelligence to product management based on real‑world requirements.
- Act as a visible technical expert in priority sectors such as A&D, Automotive, Communications, Industrial, and Enterprise.
- Collaborate with marketing on campaigns, events, and thought‑leadership activities to amplify SiTime’s technical credibility.
- Account Team Collaboration: Operate as a core member of the account team, working in close partnership with the Salesperson to build funnel and deliver revenue.
- Lead technical engagement with customer R&D teams while aligning closely with sales on account strategy and execution.
- Orchestrate internal support as needed, including coordination with Customer Engineering (CE) for post‑design‑in support.
- Ensure smooth transition from design‑into production by maintaining continuity of technical ownership.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.
