About The Role
We are seeking a knowledgeable and proactive Fire Safety Officer to support our Council estate and ensure the highest standards of fire safety across all council buildings, including schools. In this vital role, you will lead on fire risk assessments, compliance monitoring, training delivery, and the implementation of fire safety strategies that safeguard staff, pupils, and visitors.
You will work closely with senior managers, school leaders, premises teams, and external partners to maintain a safe learning environment and ensure all fire safety procedures align with current legislation, guidance, and best practice.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced fire safety professional to make a meaningful impact within a diverse and rewarding environment.
About The Candidate
The ideal candidate will be an experienced fire safety professional with a strong understanding of fire safety legislation, especially as it applies to council buildings which include public buildings, schools and educational facilities. You will have a Recognised fire safety qualification and a Professional membership or working towards.
