This is an exciting opportunity for a Senior or Principal Geo-Environmental Engineer to join BakerHicks, supporting the expansion of our Land Quality and Geo-Environmental capability across the UK.
Skills and Experience
Essential
- Experience within a Geo-Environmental or Engineering Consultancy at Senior Engineer, Principal Engineer or equivalent level
- Chartered membership (SocEnv, Geological Society, CIWEM or similar)
- Degree in Geology, Environmental Science, Applied Geology or related discipline
- Experience delivering Phase 1 and Phase 2 reports and risk assessments
- Strong understanding of ground investigation techniques and sampling methods
- Familiarity with current UK standards and guidance
- Commercial awareness including budgets and delivery timelines
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to work independently and within multidisciplinary teams
- Full UK driving licence
Desirable
- Materials Management Plans
- Soil classification tools such as HazWasteOnline or WM3
- Input to fee proposals
- Sector experience in aviation, infrastructure, nuclear or life sciences
