Join Ramboll Geotechnics as our new Principal Geotechnical Engineer and work with us to close the gap to a sustainable future.Your new roleWe are looking for a Geotechnical Engineer who can provide a fresh perspective delivering excellent services to our clients and inspire colleagues to deliver sustainable and best value solutions.  As our new Principal Geotechnical Engineer you will be part of the UK and Ireland Geotechnical Department working collaboratively on a wide variety of projects.  Our established team in London is a key part of the growth of our Geotechnical business and this role is a great opportunity to help drive this growth and develop talented younger staff.  The role is based in our City Centre office in London but there will be opportunities to travel around the UK and overseas to work with our network of geo-professionals.  This role will also provide the opportunity for site-based work.  We are a diverse team and we welcome staff who wish to work in a hybrid fashion.  You will be expected to actively engage with industry bodies and institutions, and to develop your professional network to support our business development activities.  Many of our staff take the opportunity to speak at industry conferences and are actively involved in the leadership of industry institutions.  Ramboll is also actively pursuing new markets such as water and energy transformation in the UK alongside our established transport infrastructure and building development portfolio.  This role will present an opportunity to be a key part of this evolution.  Our geotechnical teams have an active social life including cultural trips and group events in London alongside plenty of ad hoc trips out.Your key responsibilities will be:Geotechnical discipline leadership for projects focused on major building development and transport infrastructureBeing a go to specialist for colleagues on geotechnical engineeringDelivery and guidance of geotechnical analysis of complex soil structure interaction design scenariosProviding mentorship for the development of less experienced colleaguesContribution to the development of our geotechnical engineering business in the UK and further afieldAbout youProven experience in the delivery of geotechnical projects in the UK and overseasSite investigation/construction supervision experienceGood experience in the use of soil structure interaction toolsProfessional qualification with a focus in Geotechnical EngineeringExperience in bidding and development of new work opportunitiesWhat we can offer youCommitment to your developmentLeaders guided by our Leadership PrinciplesA culture that welcomes you as the unique person you areInspiration from colleagues, clients, and projectsThe long-term thinking of a foundation-owned companyFlexible work environment 27 days annual leave plus bank holidaysMatched pension contributionsPrivate medical cover and life assuranceSupport and encouragement for institution participationReady to join us?Please submit your application with your up-to-date CV.
