Principal Highways Engineer
Job Description
Elevate Your Career in Highways Design!
As a Principal Highways Engineer within Ramboll’s Highways team, you will lead preliminary and detailed design stages for multiple highway projects. This role demands leadership and scheme design experience, ensuring projects are delivered efficiently and on budget.
Your new role as Principal Highways Engineer
Collaborate with a diverse array of clients, including government agencies and contractors Engage with Ramboll's integrated technical teams and broaden your project experience Utilise our hybrid working model to tailor your work schedule and location
Key Responsibilities
Lead complex highway scheme design using industry-standard software Supervise the production and delivery of design, drawings, specifications, and reports Uphold health and safety standards, quality, and environmental policies Provide technical guidance and mentor junior engineers
About You
Degree in Civil Engineering (preferably a Masters) Chartered Engineer or Incorporated Engineer status required Strong expertise in Autodesk Civils 3D and/or OpenRoads Sufficient knowledge of BIM procedures and Bentley ProjectWise system Extensive experience in project delivery, including design & build projects
Personal qualities include proven competence as an engineer, the ability to lead and mentor, and excellent communication skills.
