Senior or Principal Hydrogeologist – UK Water Team

About The Role
We’re looking for a Senior or Principal Hydrogeologist to join our UK water team, with the flexibility to work from one of our offices: Reading, High Wycombe, Shrewsbury, Birmingham, Glasgow, or Edinburgh.
Your role will span diverse hydrogeological and environmental projects, collaborating across multidisciplinary teams to serve UK-based clients. Every project is unique—exactly the variety our team thrives on.
Not already chartered? We’ll fully support your journey towards ICE chartership. We believe in developing talent and will provide guidance and resources at every step.

- Lead and deliver hydrogeological studies, interpreting findings and advising high-stakes clients with clarity.
- Mentor the next generation of hydrogeologists, sharing knowledge and learning from industry leaders.

- Field-based monitoring and sampling
- Drilling supervision & geotechnical exploration
- Pumping test design & analysis
- Groundwater modelling (data analytics & numerical simulations)
- Geochemical/hydrochemical analysis

About You
Technical Qualifications
- A Hydrogeology MSc (or equivalent relevant postgraduate qualification) or extensive, hands-on professional experience delivering hydrogeological projects.
- Deep understanding of regulatory frameworks, business environments, and policy landscapes—key to delivering successful outcomes for your clients.
