Principal Integration Engineer, Accounting & Finance Integrations

Principal Integration Engineer, Accounting & Finance Integrations

Company: AI-Native B2B Software Company

Location: Remote (UK), ideally within commuting distance of London

Salary: £120,000 - £150,000 + Equity

The Opportunity

Our client is building an AI-native platform for accounting practices and is looking for a Principal Integration Engineer to own the engineering and architecture behind its accounting and finance integrations.

This is an engineering-first role.

Our client isn't looking for someone who simply designs solutions from the sidelines. They're looking for a hands-on engineer who enjoys writing production-quality code, solving complex integration challenges and shaping the technical direction of a core product.

Working alongside Product and Engineering, the successful candidate will design, build and evolve integrations between the platform and leading accounting and finance systems. Whilst NetSuite experience would be highly desirable, our client is equally interested in candidates with deep technical experience integrating other accounting, finance or ERP platforms.

This is an opportunity to move beyond delivering one-off customer projects and instead own a core part of a product that is transforming how finance teams work.

Responsibilities

  • Design, build and maintain integrations between the platform and accounting, finance and ERP systems.
  • Own the technical architecture and engineering direction of the integration platform.
  • Remain hands-on with software engineering, code reviews and technical design.
  • Partner closely with Product and Engineering to deliver new integration capabilities.
  • Build scalable APIs, data models and synchronisation between financial systems.
  • Solve complex integration challenges involving accounting workflows and financial data.
  • Mentor engineers and champion engineering best practice.
  • Continuously improve the scalability, performance and reliability of the integration platform.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

  • Designing and building integrations between SaaS applications and accounting or ERP platforms.
  • Deep understanding of accounting systems and financial workflows.
