Are you an experienced marine mammal consultant looking to take the lead on nationally significant offshore developments?
Do you enjoy combining technical excellence with mentoring, client engagement, and strategic influence? Are you ready to help shape the future of marine mammal consultancy within one of the UK's leading environmental consultancies?
We're looking for a Principal Marine Mammal Consultant
We're looking for a Principal Marine Mammal Consultant to join our growing team, supporting an expanding portfolio of some of the UK's largest offshore wind, tidal energy, interconnector, and port development projects. Working across the full project lifecycle—from early site selection and consenting through to post-consent monitoring—you'll lead marine mammal workstreams, provide expert advice on EIA, HRA, and mitigation strategies, and help clients navigate complex environmental challenges.
This is more than a technical role. You'll be a trusted adviser to clients and regulators, lead multidisciplinary project teams, mentor and develop consultants, and play an active role in growing our marine mammal offering through business development, tendering, and thought leadership. Working alongside experienced technical specialists across the wider business, you'll help shape new services, influence future workstreams, and contribute to projects supporting the global transition to renewable energy.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
