I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

In this role, you’ll lead the engineering design and hands-on implementation of our MDM platform, with a focus on tools such as Stibo STEP (preferably) OR other MDM tooling (eg. Informatica or similar). You’ll design and evolve data models, matching and merging rules, workflows, and validation frameworks to ensure data is accurate, trusted, and fit for purpose. You’ll work closely with product and business stakeholders to deliver flexible, scalable solutions aligned to real needs.
You’ll thrive if you’re a player-coach — comfortable being hands-on while setting direction and mentoring others. You’ll bring experience delivering Customer MDM across platforms, applying best practice in a vendor-agnostic way, and helping shape broader data strategy while guiding third-party partners.

What sets you apart is your depth of MDM expertise and ability to deliver. Experience with Stibo STEP is desirable, but broad MDM expertise is key.
