Principal Promotional Medical Writer 📍 Hybrid London (2 days per week) 💷 £58,000-£68,000 + excellent benefits

Are you a strategic medical writer who enjoys shaping scientific direction as much as creating exceptional content?

We're supporting a leading healthcare advertising agency in the search for a Principal Promotional Medical Writer to join their growing team.

This is a senior and influential role, offering the opportunity to provide scientific and editorial leadership across multiple commercial accounts. You'll work closely with clients and cross-functional teams to develop impactful healthcare communications, drive strategic thinking, and ensure the highest standards of scientific excellence.

As a trusted scientific partner, you'll lead the development of high-quality promotional materials across a range of channels, while also helping to shape account growth, support new business opportunities, and mentor the next generation of writing talent.

What you'll be doing: • Providing scientific and editorial leadership across multiple commercial accounts • Developing scientifically accurate, strategically relevant promotional content • Leading discussions with clients and external experts as a trusted scientific adviser • Shaping scientific strategy and supporting tactical planning • Contributing to organic account growth and new business initiatives • Mentoring, coaching, and developing both junior and senior members of the editorial team • Collaborating closely with account, strategy, and creative colleagues to deliver impactful campaigns

What we're looking for: • Significant promotional medical writing experience gained within a healthcare advertising, medical communications, or healthcare communications agency • Strong scientific and strategic thinking skills • Experience leading client discussions and advising on scientific content and strategy • A passion for developing people and supporting team growth • Commercial awareness and an interest in contributing to business development
