Principal MEP BIM Coordinator - Manchester

Purpose & Scope of the Role
As a BIM Coordinator within our growing MEP team, you will play a central role in delivering high-quality digital design outputs across a diverse portfolio of projects. Working to the latest UK BIM Framework standards, you will support the production and coordination of Revit models, AutoCAD drawings and associated deliverables, ensuring technical accuracy and compliance.
You will collaborate closely with engineers and the wider BIM function to drive efficient, coordinated building services designs across sectors including defence, healthcare, education, commercial and industrial.
Your Impact in this position
You will ensure that MEP designs are fully coordinated, buildable and aligned with project requirements. By maintaining high standards in model quality, data integrity and compliance, you will help deliver projects efficiently while minimising risk and rework.
Your contribution will directly enhance project outcomes, enabling seamless collaboration across multidisciplinary teams and supporting the successful delivery of technically demanding schemes.

Core Capabilities
Digital Modelling & Coordination - Deliver coordinated MEP models using Revit and AutoCAD; Resolve clashes and ensure buildability through model interrogation BIM Standards & Compliance - Apply UK BIM Framework and internal QA processes; Ensure models meet project-specific BIM requirements Technical Delivery - Produce accurate drawings, schematics and model data outputs; Translate engineering mark-ups into precise digital deliverables Quality Assurance & Data Management - Perform model checks using interference and QA tools; Maintain structured file management aligned with company standards Collaboration & Communication - Work closely with engineers and BIM leadership; Contribute to a coordinated, high-performing project environment
Skills, Experience & Qualifications
Strong experience using Revit and AutoCAD is essential, with additional exposure to tools such as Navisworks, MagiCAD or Solibri beneficial. You will have a solid understanding of MEP systems and their installation, ideally with some site experience. Strong communication skills and the ability to manage your own workload are key. Eligibility for SC clearance is required.
Working Environment
This role is based in Manchester, Leeds or Edinburgh with hybrid working available. You can expect a flexible approach to working patterns, typically combining office collaboration with remote working. Travel to office and site locations will be required, with opportunities to support projects across the UK.
