What is the opportunity?
Crown House Technologies (CHt) are delivering the MEP works for the Calderdale Royal Hospital Redevelopment, a landmark healthcare project for Calderdale & Huddersfield NHS Foundation Trust.
The development will provide a new adult and children's Accident & Emergency Department, including resuscitation bays and assessment rooms, alongside ten new inpatient wards and associated clinical facilities. Enabling works are due to commence this year, with completion planned for 2029.
As part of the CHt delivery team, the Principal MEP Planner will play a key role in the successful delivery of the MEP programme from pre-construction through to installation, commissioning, and handover. Working on a complex live healthcare environment, you will lead planning and programme management activities to support the successful delivery of resilient, sustainable, and high-quality building services systems that will support patient care and clinical excellence for decades to come.

What You'll Be Doing
Leading all planning and programme management activities for the MEP elements of a major healthcare redevelopment project, providing programme oversight from design through manufacture, installation, commissioning, and handover. Managing and mentoring planners while coordinating closely with project managers, engineers, subcontractors, design teams, and client stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery. Developing and maintaining detailed programmes, ensuring alignment with project objectives, delivery strategies, and business plan requirements. Supporting the coordination and integration of MEP activities with wider construction and project delivery programmes. Driving a strong safety culture and ensuring programmes are developed in line with project requirements, delivery constraints, and company standards. Identifying programme risks and opportunities while implementing mitigation strategies and continuous improvement initiatives to support successful project outcomes. Monitoring project performance through accurate forecasting, reporting, progress analysis, and supporting project close-out activities, including commissioning and handover milestones. Supporting pre-construction activities, including bid programmes, tender submissions, and wider planning deliverables where required.

What We're Looking For
Degree, HNC, or equivalent qualification in Building Services Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline. Proven experience delivering MEP planning activities on large-scale construction or engineering projects. Experience working within highly regulated environments such as healthcare, life sciences, data centres, pharmaceutical, or advanced manufacturing projects is desirable. Strong technical understanding of MEP systems, installation sequences, commissioning processes, and construction methodologies. Advanced capability in planning software such as Asta Powerproject and/or Primavera P6, with experience integrating 4D planning and digital modelling. Demonstrable leadership skills with experience mentoring planners and coordinating multidisciplinary stakeholders. Excellent communication, coordination, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build collaborative relationships across project teams and supply chains. A proactive, solutions-focused approach and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, technically complex project environment.
