Version 1, the UK & Ireland’s leading Oracle ERP and Cloud Transformation partner, is seeking an exceptional Principal Oracle EPM Cloud Planning Consultant to lead some of our most complex and strategically significant planning and budgeting programmes across government, public sector, and enterprise clients. This is not a delivery-only role. It’s an opportunity to operate as a trusted advisor, technical authority, and programme leader, shaping enterprise planning strategies and influencing outcomes at executive level. The Opportunity As a Principal Consultant, you’ll sit at the intersection of strategy, delivery, and leadership. You’ll guide clients through end-to-end Oracle Planning Cloud transformations — from early vision and solution shaping through to implementation, optimisation, and long-term roadmap development. You’ll lead multi-disciplinary teams, influence senior finance stakeholders, and set the standard for quality, governance, and best practice across the EPM Planning domain. What You’ll Be Responsible For Programme & Delivery Leadership You will: Own the full lifecycle of large-scale Oracle Planning Cloud programmes Lead multiple workstreams, ensuring delivery against scope, timelines, quality and value Provide strong governance, risk management and executive-level reporting Solution Design & Technical Authority You will: Act as the principal design authority for Oracle Planning Cloud (PBCS / EPBCS) Lead solution architecture across models, calculations, allocations, forms, dashboards and reporting Drive advanced capability using Smart View, Data Management, Groovy rules, REST APIs and automation Design connected planning solutions across Finance, FP&A, Workforce, CapEx and operational planning Review and assure delivery quality across senior and mid-level consultants Client Advisory & Stakeholder Influence You will: Build trusted relationships with CFOs, Finance Directors and Transformation Sponsors Lead executive workshops and design sessions, challenging thinking and guiding best-practice outcomes Translate complex technical solutions into clear, business-focused narratives Pre-Sales, Growth & Thought Leadership You will: Lead pre-sales activity including solution shaping, proposals, demos and bid responses Support pipeline development alongside Sales and Practice Leadership Contribute to Version 1 accelerators, reusable assets and thought leadership initiatives Team Leadership & Capability Development You will: Mentor and coach consultants across the Oracle EPM practice Support capability strategy, recruitment and continuous improvement Champion Version 1 values, culture and standards of excellence Qualifications What You’ll Bring Essential Experience You will have: Extensive hands-on experience delivering Oracle Planning Cloud (PBCS / EPBCS), including multiple full-lifecycle implementations Proven leadership of complex, multi-stream planning transformation programmes Strong technical expertise across planning models, calculations, allocations, dashboards, Smart View, Data Management, Groovy and REST integrations Exceptional communication, facilitation and presentation skills with senior finance stakeholders Ability to influence decision-making, manage complexity and deliver under pressure Experience mentoring consultants and leading delivery teams Strong commercial awareness with exposure to pre-sales and bid activity Desirable Experience You will have: Experience with other Oracle EPM Cloud modules (FCCS, ARCS, PCMCS, EDMCS, Narrative or Tax Reporting) Background in finance, accountancy or FP&A Experience migrating from Hyperion Planning to Oracle EPM Cloud Ready to Lead at the Highest Level?
