Principal, Payments

Principal, Payments

Fime, a globally recognised international player in digital payments, mobility services, and digital identity, offers deep expertise to address complex challenges and future-proof strategies for leading organisations worldwide. With over 900 experts operating across 20+ global locations, we deliver solutions driving millions of daily transactions. Our company thrives on curiosity, creativity, and collaboration, rooted in integrity to serve our clients, people, and shareholders.

Our work is diverse and intellectually engaging, with talented colleagues who value continuous learning—no two days are the same.

About the Role: Mission

We are growing Consult Hyperion, Fime’s consulting business, and you will play a critical role as a Principal in Payments, helping shape client strategies, foster growth in existing accounts, and deliver world-class consulting engagements globally. You will blend payments expertise with strong business development skills, advising clients across the payments value chain—including digital identity and transport technologies—leading consulting teams, supporting sales and presales activities, and crafting innovative solutions to complex challenges.

Responsibilities

  • Shape Client Strategy: Conduct deep dives into clients’ business operations, regulatory frameworks, technology landscapes, and strategic goals across issuing, acquiring, schemes, acceptance, and emerging payment methods.

  • Expert Consulting: Provide specialist guidance on payments technology, with flexibility to incorporate digital identity or transport/fare collection insights. Develop tailored solutions, robust technical architectures, operating models, roadmaps, and business cases to identify and capitalise on opportunities.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
