This is a key leadership role, supporting the training and development of pharmacists, pharmacy technicians, students, and wider pharmacy staff. The successful candidate will help shape a skilled, confident, and future-ready pharmacy workforce, while also contributing to high-quality clinical pharmacy services and safe, effective medicines use.

You will work closely with pharmacy, clinical, and education colleagues across the Trust, as well as external academic partners, to deliver high-quality training programs and promote a strong learning culture.

  • Work closely with clinical and education leads across the Trust to identify training needs and deliver programs aligned to service priorities and developing professional roles.
  • Support the implementation of pharmacy apprenticeships and maximize the use of the apprenticeship levy for pharmacy staff.
  • Contribute to the development and delivery of the pharmacy education and training strategy in collaboration with senior pharmacy colleagues.
  • Act as a role model for clinical pharmacy practice and promote safe, effective, and cost-effective use of medicines.
  • Provide teaching, advice, and training to pharmacy staff, medical and nursing colleagues, healthcare professionals, support staff, and patient groups as required.
  • Recruit, manage, develop, and support staff, including involvement in HR processes such as performance management, grievance, and disciplinary investigations where required.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
