Principal/Lead Pricing Analyst – Technical (Home) Team

A leading Personal Lines Insurer is looking for a Principal/Lead Pricing Analyst to join their technical (Home) team. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in modeling and a minimum of 4 years of experience in the general insurance sector.


Role Overview

This is largely a remote position with only ½ days per month required on-site.


Responsibilities

  • Contribute to modelling enhancements, focusing on risk model updates and improving data quality and processes.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and stakeholders to address needs, refine data requirements, and align modelling outcomes with business goals.
  • Manually engage with raw data from source through to modeling and rating implementation.
  • Develop and validate statistical models and machine learning algorithms.

Requirements

  • Strong expertise in statistical modelling, particularly Generalised Linear Models (GLMs).
  • Familiarity with machine learning techniques, especially Gradient Boosting Machines (GBMs).
  • Proficient in programming, including Python, SQL or SAS, and/or similar tools.
  • Experience with Willis Towers Watson’s software, such as Radar or Emblem.
