Principal Pricing Development Analyst
Play a key role shaping pricing models and influencing business decisions within NFU Mutual’s Pricing Development teams
- Work across our full pricing lifecycle with opportunities to develop your expertise and mentor others
- Hybrid working on offer – spend up to 80% of your time working from home, with 20% spent at our Head Office in Stratford-upon-Avon

Our Pricing team is central to customer support, and its role is becoming even more pivotal. The team is now at the heart of one of NFU Mutual’s most significant transformation programmes, shaping how pricing will operate to ensure:

As a Principal Pricing Development Analyst, you’ll hold a key technical position, driving innovation, exploring new techniques, and enhancing pricing performance.
Responsibilities
- Complete behavioural modelling, research, development, and innovation tasks across the full pricing lifecycle
- Act as a technical expert, supporting the creation and implementation of new pricing models and rating approaches with direct business impact
- Design, build, and improve models and analytics using:
- Advanced statistical techniques
- Data science methods
- Ensure:
- Model accuracy
- Compliance
- Quality control processes
- Data integrity for decision-making

Requirements
You’re an experienced Data Science and/or Modelling professional with:
Key Skills:
- Strong technical expertise (ideally in Pricing) within corporate environments, particularly in Financial Services/Insurance
- Proven ability in:
- Behavioral modelling
- Complex analytical problem-solving
- Confidence in:
- Leading and mentoring teams
- Influencing stakeholders and peers

Compensation and Pension
- Base salary of circa £55,000, depending on skillset and experience
- Annual bonus (up to 17.5% of salary)
- Contributory pension scheme (20%), inclusive of your 8% contribution
