Egis is an expanding force in UK infrastructure backed by a global team of 23,500+ experts in 70+ countries. Offering design and delivery of sustainable water infrastructure, we address climate challenges and strengthen community resilience.

As part of our UK Water team, you’ll join a fast-paced environment where rapid progression, visibility, and immediate impact are assured.

Job Description

### About the Role

The UK water sector is entering a period of transformation with significant investment opportunities. Egis, accelerating its UK Water Business growth, is establishing a top-tier Process Engineering team to define this new chapter.

We are seeking applicants to develop critical water and wastewater programmes in the UK municipal and industrial sectors. Within a collaborative, multidisciplinary setting, you’ll optimise technically robust, sustainable, and innovative solutions for nationally significant projects.

This is a unique opportunity to contribute from the early growth phase of Egis’ UK capability, guided by our global expertise and long-term sector commitment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead design delivery across all stages of the water/wastewater treatment lifecycle.
  • Act as senior technical lead, managing process strategy, decision-making, risk assessment, and delivery quality.
  • Review and validate process calculations, mass balances, PFDs, P&IDs, design reports, and vendor submissions.
  • Direct process modelling/simulation (e.g., BioWin, SUMO, Dynamizu).
  • Conceive optioneering, capacity assessments, and value engineering routes.
  • Facilitate multidisciplinary collaboration across drainable engineering, MEP, construction, commissioning, and operations.
  • Champion lean and digital delivery by standardising processes, automation, and reusable models.
  • Provide technical risk assessment support for project managers.
  • Mentor engineers and contribute to talent development and recruitment pathways.
  • Shape bids, client engagement, and process capability expansion.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
