The Role
At Numan, we’re building a holistic digital healthcare experience that combines the best of human and system intelligence to help patients live healthier, happier, longer lives.
We are looking for an exceptional Principal Product Designer to raise the quality, craft, and ambition of our digital product. This is a senior, individual contributor (IC) role for a master of the craft who operates with deep autonomy, strong product judgement, and an AI-first mindset to shape our patient-facing mobile and web experiences.
You'll be:
- Taking complex, ambiguous health challenges and turn them into clear, elegant, high-quality experiences that materially improve usability, trust, and patient outcomes.
- Pushing teams beyond functional UX toward thoughtful, polished, and premium product experiences across visual design, interaction, and motion.
- Independently owning high-value, strategically important experience problems from early thinking through to polished shipped execution without requiring heavy oversight.
- Using realistic modelling of flows and interaction patterns to drive alignment, tell compelling design stories, and help Engineering move faster.
- Leading by example by using modern AI tooling as a core part of your workflow to materially improve speed, iteration, and prototyping, while knowing exactly where human craft matters most.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
