Are you a Principal Psychologist who is interested in leading and shaping clinical practise within a multi-disciplinary service to better support young people experiencing adversity?

Do you want to help create new and innovative ways of working psychologically?

If so, an exciting opportunity has arisen for you to join the Youth Mental Health Team, as the Clinical Lead. This team has adopted the Thrive model of service delivery to be able to offer training, consultation and support in assessment and intervention to professionals working with young people requiring mental health support across Norfolk and Waveney.

About the Role

The team hold a small specialist assessment and intervention caseload and have close links with other members of the Family and Young Person (CFYP) Mental Health Team.

Recently secured funding has meant a growth in the workforce capacity and an expansion of the service offer. This is an exciting and dynamic time for an individual to join the existing leadership structure, working closely alongside the Youth Team to ensure continued service evaluation and development, best practice and robust clinical governance.

The advertised post holder will have clinical oversight of the service offer, taking a lead on service development with regards to clinical need. The post holder will offer clinical supervision to the Principal Psychologist and will hold a small individual caseload as appropriate. The service has close links with the University of East Anglia and offers a specialist placement for Trainee Clinical Psychologists on the Doctorate programme.

Key Requirements

We would like you to possess well developed specialist clinical, supervision and leadership skills, with particular depth of knowledge and experience in young person’s mental health and working successfully with families experiencing complex psychosocial difficulties.
