Principal Psychotherapist Lead

We are seeking an experienced, compassionate, and forward-thinking Principal Psychotherapist Lead to join our renal service at a pivotal time of development. This is a unique opportunity to shape and lead a psychologically informed service within a specialist physical healthcare setting, supporting patients living with complex and long-term renal conditions.

In this role, you will provide expert clinical leadership, delivering high-quality psychological care to patients with complex needs while also influencing service development, staff support, and multidisciplinary working across the renal pathway. You will play a key role in embedding trauma-informed, patient-centred approaches, ensuring psychological care is fully integrated into the wider healthcare system.

We are looking for someone who is not only clinically highly skilled, but also passionate about improving patient experience, reducing health inequalities, and supporting teams to deliver compassionate, psychologically informed care.

We are committed to your professional growth, offering opportunities for leadership development, service innovation, and close collaboration with multidisciplinary colleagues across the organisation. You will have the autonomy to shape the role, influence practice, and contribute to meaningful improvements in patient care.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
