Principal Quality Delivery Manager
Principal Quality Delivery Manager - Construction Midlands
Location: Based at Birmingham Snowhill office with hybrid working model (travel to regional sites when required)
About the Role
We are seeking a highly motivated Principal Quality Delivery Manager to lead a consistent approach to quality and ensure compliance with industry standards across our Construction Midlands region.
You will report to the Head of Quality, acting as a technical expert who can engage, influence at all levels, and develop a cohesive strategy to support teams across the Midlands, ensuring they understand what optimal performance looks like.
This role demands model behaviors—respect, helpfulness, integrity, and co-operation—to reflect the company’s values and foster a collaborative work environment.
Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership: Assist in leadership within the regional Quality Team, embedding quality as central to all pre-construction activities and operational workflows. Drive and clearly communicate the expectations of the Quality Management Function to both internal and external stakeholders.

Team Collaboration & Culture: Work closely with cross-level team members to align regional and Group strategies. Foster continiual improvement, while embedding a culture of coaching, mentoring, and talent nurturing.

Project Support: Plan, manage, and support project activities strategically—focusing key deliverables such as Launch Meetings, Pre-starts, and ** ona-site support visits**.

Performance Tracking & Reporting: Articulate timely project status updates to provide accurate and consistent reporting across all projects. Ensure compliance with project objectives, codes, regulations, and standards (e.g., fire safety, Building Safety Act and Water Integrity).

Data-Driven Improvement: Assist in collecting data for performance evaluation and unearthing continual improvement opportunities.

Supply Chain & Compliance: Maintain high-quality, consistent standards across the Midlands by:
- Coaching supply chain partners to meet best practices.
- Taking corrective actions when needed.

Certification & Governance: Ensure the region remains ISO 9001:2015 certified and supports collaboration with key industry associations.
Requirements
Essential Criteria
- Experience in reading and accurately interpreting construction information.
- Proven ability to develop informed, actionable guidance and procedures in Quality Management.
- Exceptional output quality in all aspects of previous roles.
- Level 4 qualification (HNC, NVQ4, or equivalent).
- Valid CSCS card.
- Full UK driving license.

Desirable Criteria
- Relevant degree qualification in disciplines such as Construction, Quality, Safety, or Engineering.
- Progressing towards MCIOB or another professional quality-focused accreditation.
