Job Opportunity: Radiotherapy Electronics Engineers
We are seeking to recruit 2 enthusiastic and experienced Radiotherapy Electronics Engineers to participate in delivering a high quality maintenance & repair service to our Radiotherapy Service. This is an opportunity to join a team of highly experienced engineers.
Job Requirements
- Educated to B.Sc. degree level or equivalent in electronics and electrical engineering
- Minimum 10 years of experience in the field of radiotherapy, working with linacs
- Experience with high voltage systems, high vacuum systems, high power RF systems and circuits, cooling systems, microcontroller based systems, pressurised gas systems, and complex mechanical systems
Key Responsibilities
- Work in any of the areas mentioned above, creating a dynamic working environment with multiple daily challenges and opportunities to learn
- Keep relevant scientific and technical records of work performed
- Operate the equipment management computer database in an accurate, methodical manner
- Member of the team responsible for the day-to-day running of the PPM schedules for radiotherapy diagnostic and treatment machines
- Prioritise work in accordance with the Department/Section’s procedures and competing service demands
- Assist other groups within the Department in the development and construction of new and novel devices to support clinical activity and research
- Carry out all duties in accordance with the requirements of the Health and Safety at Work Act, relevant Statutory Regulations, Approved Codes of Conduct and Local Rules
- Acquire specific knowledge on particular items of equipment
- Ensure clients receive a high quality, prompt, and efficient service and are kept up to date on the progress of their outstanding work
