Principal Recruitment Consultant – Renewable Energy (EU Market)
Brand: Piper Maddox (LHi Group) Location: Bristol, UK (Office-based role) Salary: Competitive Base + Uncapped Commission + Team Override + Bonus + Employee Ownership Equity Business Development experience required
The Opportunity
Piper Maddox is looking for a commercially driven Senior Consultant to join our Renewable Energy team, focusing on the German market.
You will join one of the highest-performing Renewable Energy teams in Europe, working directly on a strong existing client base while building /developing new business across a fast-moving and competitive market.
This is a hands-on, sales-led role where success is driven by deal-making, negotiation and client development... not technical delivery.
There is also a clear pathway into leadership for individuals who consistently perform and demonstrate the ability to develop others.
The Team
You will be joining a high-performing European Renewable Energy team of 4, who hold many accolades including Team of the Year x 2 & currently running at £13k PPH.
This is currently Piper Maddox’s top-performing Renewable Energy team in Europe, supporting the growth
Your Responsibilities
- Own and develop a portfolio of Renewable Energy clients across the German market.
- Drive new business through commercial outreach, negotiation and deal execution.
- Deliver high-quality placements across mid-to-senior level renewable energy roles.
- Work closely with an established, high-performing team to share market intelligence and leads.
- Build long-term client relationships with leading global renewable energy brands.
- Contribute directly to revenue growth through personal billing.

The German renewable energy market remains highly active but increasingly competitive, shaped by:
- Grid capacity constraints and infrastructure challenges.

- Strong existing relationships across leading global clients including RWE, E.ON, EDF and Tesla.
- Success in this market comes from strong commercial capability, not technical background.

What We’re Looking For?
- 3–5 years’ experience in agency recruitment or a strong commercial sales background.
- Proven ability to close business and manage client relationships.
- Strong communication, negotiation and sales skills.
- Comfort working in a fast-paced, in-office, high-performance environment.
- Ambition to develop into a leadership role over time.
- Interest in Renewable Energy or infrastructure markets (advantageous, not essential).
