Principal Recruitment Consultant – Quants

Our team in London is growing and we're looking for an experienced Recruitment Consultant to join Selby Jennings on our established Quants team.
Phaidon International started as a 7-person team in London in 2004 and has grown into one of the world's leading specialist talent partners. The London office, based in Moorgate, continues to be our flagship office globally.
What does a Recruitment Consultant do at Phaidon International?
Business Development
- Develop relationships with quantitative hedge funds, proprietary trading firms, investment banks, asset managers and fintech organisations.
- Identify hiring needs and secure exclusive recruitment partnerships.
- Negotiate terms of business and provide market intelligence to clients.
- Become a trusted adviser within the quantitative finance market.

Candidate Sourcing
- Identify and engage top-tier Quant Researchers, Quant Traders, Quant Developers, Data Scientists and Systematic Portfolio Managers.
- Headhunt passive candidates through networking, referrals and market mapping.
- Build and maintain a strong pipeline of quantitative talent across Europe and key global financial hubs.
Process Management
- Manage end-to-end recruitment processes from initial qualification through to offer management.
- Coordinate interviews, provide market feedback and negotiate compensation packages.
- Maintain long-term relationships with both clients and placed candidates.
Experience & Qualifications
- Proven track record managing a successful 360 recruitment desk within Quantitative Finance, Financial Services, Trading Technology, Data Science or a closely related market.
- Experience placing mid-to-senior level quantitative professionals.
- Demonstrable success in business development and growing client relationships.
- Strong understanding of quantitative trading, systematic investing, quantitative research, machine learning or financial technology markets.
- Experience conducting face-to-face client meetings and senior candidate consultations.
- Ambitious, commercial and motivated by building a specialist market.
