Shape the future of Agile delivery at Westcon-Comstor!
Principal Scrum Master
Location: Bracknell (Hybrid) Package: Competitive package and benefits
ABOUT THE ROLE
At Westcon-Comstor, we're transforming how technology enables our business, customers and partners. As we continue to invest in digital transformation, platform modernisation, automation and operational excellence, we're looking for a highly experienced Principal Scrum Master to play a key role in enabling delivery across our strategic initiatives.
This is an opportunity to move beyond traditional Scrum facilitation and operate at a broader organisational level. You'll help drive value-stream thinking, improve delivery flow and predictability, and influence how Agile ways of working evolve across the business.
We're looking for someone who thrives in complex enterprise environments and can apply Agile principles pragmatically, adapting approaches to achieve meaningful business outcomes rather than simply following frameworks.
Please Note This is not a traditional Scrum Master role focused solely on facilitating team ceremonies. We are particularly interested in individuals who have operated across value streams, programmes or portfolios in complex enterprise environments and can demonstrate experience influencing senior stakeholders to improve organisational delivery outcomes.
What you'll be doing
As Principal Scrum Master, you'll enable high-performing, cross-functional Agile teams that consistently deliver value across key business and technology initiatives. You will:
- Act as Scrum Master for one or more Value Streams and Agile delivery teams, supporting end-to-end delivery of business outcomes.
- Drive value-stream thinking across the organisation, helping define, establish and continuously optimise value streams.
- Improve delivery flow, focus and predictability, enabling teams to consistently achieve Sprint Goals and deliver measurable value.
- Support teams in shifting from activity-based delivery to outcome-oriented execution.
- Facilitate Scrum ceremonies including Sprint Planning, Daily Stand-ups, Sprint Reviews and Retrospectives, ensuring they drive inspection, adaptation and decision-making.
- Apply Scrum, Agile and Lean practices pragmatically, adapting approaches to suit the realities of a complex enterprise environment.
- Coach teams in self-management, accountability, collaboration and continuous improvement.
- Foster a culture of psychological safety while maintaining a strong focus on delivery outcomes.
- Address impediments, delivery risks, dependencies and organisational blockers that impact flow and value delivery.
- Work across teams, programmes and value streams to improve alignment and execution.
- Align delivery activity with portfolio priorities, strategic initiatives and business objectives.
- Provide meaningful delivery insights relating to progress, risks, predictability, dependencies and value delivered.
- Build strong relationships with Portfolio Leadership, Product Owners, Product Managers, Delivery Leads and Technology stakeholders.
- Contribute to the evolution of Agile delivery practices, governance and standards across Westcon-Comstor.
- Support Agile communities of practice and help develop Agile capability across the organisation.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
