The role

This is a senior, hands-on leadership role with real influence across the organization.

As Principal Software Architect, you will define the architectural direction of a modern cloud-native SaaS platform used across global insurance markets. You will work closely with engineering teams and senior stakeholders to shape systems that are scalable, secure, and built to evolve.

What you will do

  • Lead architecture and system design across a modern cloud-native SaaS platform
  • Define and drive architectural standards, patterns, and best practices
  • Provide hands-on technical leadership and mentor engineering teams
  • Translate complex business needs into scalable, reliable technical solutions
  • Review existing systems and improve performance, simplicity, and reusability
  • Evaluate and introduce modern technologies, tools, and frameworks where they add value
  • Ensure high standards across security, quality, and system design
  • Collaborate closely with engineers, analysts, and senior stakeholders across the business

What you bring

  • Extensive experience operating at senior or principal level in software engineering
  • Strong hands-on experience with modern programming languages such as TypeScript, C++, or similar
  • Experience with JavaScript ecosystems, Node.js, and Angular
  • Deep understanding of software architecture, microservices, and distributed systems
  • Experience working with cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or GCP
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and container technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes
  • A track record of building scalable, high-quality SaaS platforms
  • A pragmatic approach to engineering with a focus on simplicity, performance, and long-term maintainability
