Principal Solutions Architect - Amazon Connect Department: Consultancy Employment Type: Full Time Location: Remote

Description The Role

We’re looking for an experienced Principal Solutions Architect to join a growing technology team, helping to shape and deliver modern, scalable digital platforms. This is a key role working at the intersection of business strategy and technical delivery. You’ll work closely with stakeholders across the business to define platform strategy, lead discovery sessions, and translate requirements into robust architectural solutions. You’ll play a hands-on leadership role across multiple engineering teams, ensuring alignment between architecture, business goals, and delivery outcomes. Partner with business and technical stakeholders to define platform vision, roadmap, and solution strategy Lead workshops and discovery sessions to gather requirements and shape solution design Provide architectural leadership across cross-functional engineering teams Design scalable, cloud-native solutions with a focus on performance, resilience, and customer experience Guide teams on best practices in microservices, API design, and cloud operating models Balance long-term architectural direction with practical delivery considerations Support proof-of-concept initiatives to validate new technologies and approaches

Knowledge Skills & Abilities Strong experience as a Solutions Architect in complex, customer-facing or ecommerce environments Proven ability to influence stakeholders and collaborate across multiple teams Deep understanding of cloud-native architecture, ideally within AWS Experience designing and delivering microservices-based systems Hands-on familiarity with technologies such as AWS, React, and Infrastructure as Code (e.g. Terraform) Knowledge of modern data platforms and integration patterns (APIs, event-driven architectures, etc.) Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate between technical and non-technical audiences Experience working with data platforms such as Snowflake Exposure to contact centre or customer engagement technologies (e.g. Amazon Connect) Background in running or contributing to Proof of Concepts (PoCs)
