Principal Statistician
Principal Statistician

As a Senior Biostatistician I at ICON, you will design and analyse clinical trials, interpreting complex medical data, and contribute to the advancement of innovative treatments and therapies.
What You Will Do
You will lead on biostatistics tasks requiring technical depth, with a focus on quality and continuous improvement. Key responsibilities include:
- Serves as lead biostatistician for simple to complex clinical studies
- Develops statistical analysis plans (SAPs) and reporting specifications
- Responsible for statistical aspects of CRF design and edit specifications
- Performs statistical analyses and interprets results for simple to complex clinical studies
- Reviews simple to complex randomization specifications and dummy-randomization schemes
- Participates in bid defence meetings
Your Profile
You will have a strong foundation in biostatistics, with the experience to work independently and guide others.

Required Qualifications and Experience
- Master’s degree or Ph.D in Biostatistics, Statistics, or a related field, with 5 or more years of biostatistical experience
- Minimum 2 years of work experience in Oncology or Real-World Evidence (RWE) required
- Strong knowledge of:
- Multiple statistical and therapeutic areas
- The drug development process
- Statistical programming practices and procedures
- Work experience with SAS and R required
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Effective communication skills to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
- Employment with ICON is contingent upon having the legal right to work in the country where the role is based
