🚨 Principal Chartered Structural Engineer | Lead & Grow a Structural Engineering Division | North West England
Ceto Talent is partnering with a well-established, multidisciplinary engineering consultancy to recruit a Principal Chartered Structural Engineer to lead and develop its Structural Engineering division.
This is a rare opportunity for an experienced structural engineer to step into a strategic leadership role, taking ownership of an established team while driving the future growth of the department. Reporting directly to the Managing Director, you'll play a key role in shaping the business, expanding its project portfolio and leading the delivery of high-quality structural engineering solutions across the North West and beyond.
What you'll be doing:
- Leading and managing the Structural Engineering team on a day-to-day basis.
- Driving the growth and development of the structural division as part of the company's long-term strategy.
- Leading the design and delivery of structural engineering projects from concept through to completion.
- Providing technical leadership and mentoring to engineers and technicians.
- Undertaking structural surveys and providing expert engineering advice.
- Preparing and reviewing structural calculations, drawings and technical specifications.
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients and key stakeholders.
- Supporting business development activities and helping to secure new opportunities.
- Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to deliver innovative engineering solutions.

We're looking for someone with:
- At least 15 years' UK structural engineering experience.
- Chartered Engineer status (MIStructE and/or MICE).
- Previous experience leading structural engineering teams within a consultancy environment.
- Strong technical expertise across both superstructure and substructure design.
- Excellent communication, leadership and client relationship skills.
- A proactive commercial mindset with the ability to support business growth and develop client relationships.
- A degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (BEng or MEng).
