The Role

What if your skills mattered more than your job title?

Talent Sourcers play a key role in our clients’ success by partnering with Hiring Managers and Recruiters and developing effective, consultative, professional relationships with them. Through asking the right questions to ensure a detailed understanding of the client and each role, and by leveraging data, historic hiring trends, and market analysis, Talent Sourcers develop bespoke sourcing strategies and then use a range of tools and techniques to find the best talent in the market.

A Principal Sourcing Specialist is a true subject matter expert in recruitment and sourcing and will confidently partner with senior stakeholders to understand even the most complex hiring needs, developing sourcing strategies which focus on finding and engaging passive talent across specialist disciplines.

Key Responsibilities and Activities

Strategic Talent Sourcing & Market Mapping

  • Own proactive sourcing as the core focus across all roles
  • Implement a multi-channel sourcing strategy, including:
    • Direct applicants (job boards, ATS)
    • Internal applicants (internal mobility)
    • Proactive sourcing (primary focus)
  • Conduct continuous market mapping for critical and niche skill sets
  • Develop role-specific and skill-based talent pipelines
  • Maintain warm candidate pools for faster turnaround
  • Perform regular pipeline reviews and refresh strategies
  • Leverage previous UK market experience to inform sourcing strategy and talent positioning

Passive Talent Engagement & Pipeline Excellence

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
