Technical Business Development Manager (Tech BDM)
The Technical Business Development Manager (Tech BDM) is a specialist who guides AWS customers in leveraging our offerings and programs to accelerate the modernization of legacy Windows workloads. This role relies on your technical expertise and business acumen to build trust and advise customers through the business case and planning of complex modernization projects, while partnering with solution architects to address technical assessments.
Additionally, this role involves:
- Building mechanisms for scale within Go-To-Market (GTM) strategy
- Enabling sellers and partners
- Collaborating with sales management
- Creating demand
Key Responsibilities

Lead and implement the GTM strategy and execution for ProServe AppMod offerings in EMEA in collaboration with:
- Sales
- Partners
- Marketing
- Specialists across the field

Use your modernization expertise to:
- Identify customer problems
- Enable aligned account teams to solve them

Drive cross-functional initiatives, including:
- Market expansion
- Account development
- Scalable programs for adoption
- Identifying new opportunities

Set and execute goals designed to drive long-term growth in EMEA, while meeting or exceeding both revenue and non-revenue driven KPIs

Deliver customer briefings and present at:
- Customer events
- Industry-specific events

Collaborate with commercial, ProServe sales managers, and team leaders on:
- GTM planning
- Sales support
About the Team
The Application Modernization Center of Excellence is a strategic Amazon Web Services (AWS) team. They focus on helping top-tier customers overcome their toughest challenges during the transition from legacy Windows applications to cloud-native architectures.
Basic Qualifications
- Experience in developing, negotiating, and executing business agreements
- Experience designing strategies that influence executive decision-making at organisational level
- Expertise in Core Cloud Technology Services, including (but not limited to):
- Compute
- Edge
- Hybrid solutions
- Security
- Networking
- Background in:
- Go-To-Market (GTM)
- Business Development
- Sales or Consulting
- Knowledge of Enterprise Application Modernization and Migration technologies, including:
- Mainframe systems
- Serverless technology
- Containers
- Cloud operations

- Experience selling to either Fortune 1000 or Global 2000 organisations
- MBA qualification
